I just watched Dreamscape starring a very young Dennis Quaid for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it!

The intriguing plot is mash-up of Inception, Nightmare on Elm Street, and a little bit of Cloak and Dagger. In fact, Chuck Russell who went on to direct Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and The Blob remake has a writing and producing credit here.

Dreamscape is very entertaining to watch and seamlessly blends science fiction, horror, and comedy. In fact, some parts are downright terrifying (especially the Snakeman sequences). Check it out if you are looking for an 80's blast from the past!

Haven't seen this in years! You just sold me on my movie for tonight. Noice.

It's been a long, long time since I watched DreamScape, but you're right. It's a great movie with some pretty scary scenes. Reminds me of a Scanners except for the dream world.

It's funny, I popped the movie on last night and realized I had watched it much more recently than I thought. Like probably within the last couple years. Great flick.

The director directed a number of great movies:

The Stepfather (Original)

The Good Son

Sleeping With the Enemy

Yes - this reminds me of "Scanners". Thank you for posting this echidna64.
