Yes, I know it's hard to believe but my favorite vampire story is a made-for-TV movie from 1972. A little tale you may have heard of called, "The Night Stalker".

For actor Darren McGavin, "Kolchak" was the role of a lifetime. He is so perfrct as a "B" grade reporter that I can't imagine anyone else in the role.

Barry Atwater as the "Vampire", became an overnight sensation! This was waay beyond the old Count Dracula school of vampires.

I've watched major motion picture releases that can't hold my attention like this television movie from my school days. From the opening monologue this story always grips me - and pulls me right in.

Raise your hand if you spot any CGI.

Ever seen Leslie Nielsen as Dracula? He's a hoot!

Excellent, thank you for the recommendation. I'll add, "Dead and Loving It", to my watch list.
