From 1955 comes one of the most unique films that was later adapted to educational television. "Journey into Prehistory" is a 1955 Czechoslovak science fiction adventure film directed by Karel Zeman.
William Cayton and Fred Ladd produced a dubbed and partly re-filmed US version of the film that was released in 1960 under the title "Journey to the Beginning of Time".
Karel Zeman was every bit as much of a showman as Walt Disney, Ray Harryhausen and Jim Henson. With much of his work dubbed into other languages and distributed internationally, Karen Zeman was a moviemaker with a world-wide following.
