The TurboGrafx-16 Mini is back in stock at Amazon and other places.

I missed it the first time around, and decided to go ahead and preorder at the $100. I'm always a little on the fence about these mini consoles, for all the same reasons you've read from other people (I have a raspberry pi set up, I collect the real retro systems and games, etc etc).

However, TG-16 was always the one system I could never find at the yard sales/flea markets. I never owned one myself, but have fond memories of playing my friend's at his house. It won't be quite the same without the little cards to put into the system, but heck, it's probably the closest I'll ever get.

Anyone else already have this or plan on getting it?

I've heard there's some slight input delay in certain games and lords of thunder has emulation problems. I'm just gonna take the cheap way out and play the games on a raspberry pi I own.

Hmmm, on the one hand I tend not to notice little issues like that. On the other, I have a raspberry pi system (just no turbo games loaded yet) and it would save $100. I'm torn.

Hahahaha, I'm so stupid.

I just fired up my raspberry pi and guess what?  I already have the entire PCEngine / TurboGrafx-16 library loaded on the damn thing.

I'll be honest, I still kinda want to buy the mini anyway, for the look and feel, but I may not now. I'll play some games on the raspberry pi and hope that I lose interest in spedning the $100

I enjoyed my TurboGrafix despite its limited library. Splatterhouse was the best if the bunch.

Love Splatterhouse! I was actually just playing it yesterday. I also have the "new" Splatterhouse that came out on the Xbox 360, and as you played it would unlock the old games, which was pretty cool. I don't think I ever finished that now that I think of it...

Oh, so I totally forgot to cancel my preorder and the damn thing shipped last night! Ugh. I'm going ot have to send it back, because the more I thought about it, the more I figured it was better to save the money.

Although, I did also start thinking about building out an updated retro pi with the newer raspberry pi 4, and the brand new retroflag nespi case. Have you seen this thing!? Pretty cool. Has a fake catridge that you put an SSD into for extra storage. Of course, if I do that, I'll be spending at least $80
