That's right, it is time to celebrate the world's greatest comfort food! Grilled cheese is so simple and versatile. There are so many varieties of bread and cheese, as well as other things that can be added. I like to use mozzarella and put pepperoni, salt, and pepper in mine. And a side of potato chips. Of course, there is also the classic pairing of this sandwich with tomato soup, perfect for a dreary day.
Now, I eat this great sandwich frequently. Usually I use "gasoline" (cheap white) bread. Sometimes Mrs steak will get a loaf of turano bread:
Which is excellent for sandwiches of all types but especially grilled cheese.
Today, however, is a very special day, so I have a special bread in mind for the sandwich I will eat for dinner tonight. I call it drunk bread, but it's nothing like pan borracho. My drunk bread is one I make where I let the dough rise for almost a week. It is so fermented before baking, it smells wonderful!
EVERYBODY WANG CHUNG EAT GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES TONIGHT!
