I only managed to rent the Vectorman games when they were released, but they were fun. I rarely purchased games unless they were absolute gems to me.

There are so many great Genesis games that need next generation sequels. It makes me wish that more of the big publishers holding the rights to some of these games would grant smaller developers the chance to bring them back to life.

I don't think they know how, unfortunately. Look at the recent games with Sonic, the flagship character of the Genesis. According to the reviews I've looked at, they all pretty much suck and the sales figures agree. If they can't do anything with Sonic what hope does Vectorman have?

EA will own everything sooner or later. It's a sad state of affairs.
Thank goodness for indie developers. You love this signature.

I have played the game on Sega Genesis Collection for PS2, and come to think of it, I completed the whole game without using any cheat codes!

Unfortunately, from what I've seen in the gameplay footage, they took away pretty much all of the basic gameplay elements from the original Vectorman games and made it look more like Halo. Thankfully, it got cancelled shortly after it's announcement, and I think that's for the better. It probably would have sucked just as much as Toejam and Earl III. |
