Have to go with the Chordettes on this one. Wir sprechen zu viel, aber wir sehen zu wenig.

Neither honestly. But then, I'm no hipster (especially since those pretentious idjits are ironically mainstream themselves. Google Portlandia if you need proof) but I don't listen to a lot of mainstream music (most of it to me is just bland and predictable). That being said, I love the cover of Mr Sandman that 1980's to the Present German Power Metal rockers prominent Internet Metal band as of the 2010's) Blind Guardian did. They make epic covers Suicide is painless

So here's that cover I was telling you about. This was done by Blind Guardian (Blind Guardian are a German Speed turned Power Metal band from back in the 1980's that in 1992 gained five seconds of prominence on MTV when they performed their prolific ballad The Bard's Song on a show called Headbanger's Ball. Shortly after, they would banish mostly into obscurity. Fast forward several years later to the 2010's when internet technology has long since gotten better. This was the time when Blind Guardian gained another chance at prominence when they garnered a cult following. As of this decade, they are now one of the most prominent Internet Metal bands next to Tyr, Nightwish, Sabaton, Rhapsody of Fire, and to a much lesser extent, Ghost (ugh! Lol) Anyway, hope you enjoy this cover as well as this epic video to accompany it)
Suicide is painless
