EDIT: the original voice cast for the cartoon have reunited to lend their voices for in-game cutscenes and as a bonus scrooge's moneybin will be a playable location

Very cool news. I had no idea there was any perceived demand for such a remake.

The guy being interviewed sure does slur his words and stutter a lot. Maybe he had one too many that night?

So far, this is shaping up to be a really sweet game. I enjoyed the NES game a lot, and I can imagine how they would use elements from the TV show, and incorporate them into this new video game.

Also, I know it's not as well received, but I also wouldn't mind seeing the sequel, Ducktales 2 get the same treatment. It probably won't happen though.

I would rather see a totally new 2D Ducktales game. And I think that is what they're planning next if this does well.

Is there not a solid release date for this?

No official release date announced so far, but it's currently scheduled for a Summer 2013 release.

If the remake of the game does well, it could cause a remake of the show.

Played this last night with the kids. It is very nice to look at, and as fun as the original. So far, it's been very enjoyable. We defeated the Moon level and captured the Green Cheese. Now it's off to the Amazon!
