Is this a film or a series?

it's going to be a series, literally a reboot.

I watched the trailer and was very confused. The generation that has any interest in the Reboot name wants to see all the old characters come back and continue that story. This Tron meets Power Rangers idea is fine, but I liked it better the first time when it was called Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad.

one of the people in the comments just compared it to superhuman samurai syber squad, while some others compared it to code lyoko. i'll pass on watching this though. when i saw that this was first announced i thought that we were going to get a proper ending to the original show. looks like we're stuck with a cliffhanger :/

Does this even have anything at all to do with the original show?

they've brought the 3D computer characters back, but now human players in the outside world are part of it, which to me doesn't feel right because i liked the mystery of who was truly controlling the mainframe when the show was still airing.

Yeah I liked that as well. Although I hope they tone down the cringey computer puns they used to use.

that'd be nice. puns were also common when 4kids would dub anime and that kind of got on my nerves too lol.

I hate to say this... but I am incredibly disappointed with this. Like Hoju and Benjanime said, it looks like they are trying to rip-off Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad and Code Lyoko.

i have no intention of watching it unless the writers pull something off to impress the older fans. now if you'll excuse me i'm off to rewatch superhuman samurai syber squad because i've never seen it before.
