It was non-stop television in October 1962 as The White House approved the release of the U-2 spy plane photos of nuclear missiles under construction in Cuba.

But I was only 5 years old in 1962 so all I remember was one of the most spectacular Halloweens of my life! If only you guys could've been there. 

Well fast-forward to 1974 where ABC aired a 2 1/2 hour made for TV movie called, "The Missiles of October". Sure seems to me that TV movies get a bad rap - I've seen some amazing stories on broadcast television in my day.
