Gremlins is one of those films that is near and dear to many. It has heart, horror, and humor. Gremlins 2 was... well, it was what it was.

Now, Chris Columbus has finished penning the script for Gremlins 3, and I'm juiced over it! I really hope that Joe Dante can be brought on board to direct, but it's not a necessity for me. But to think that Gizmo may die kind of sucks. Let's hope that's not the case.

gremlins 2 imo was its own thing. the actor cameos were the only highlight.

I'm kinda glad Gizmo doesn't exist. It's for society's own good.

i remember the nes game being pretty difficult. well, for me anyway. looking back i kinda hate the delay when attacking with your weapon.

I love it. I put it up there with Short Circuit 2 in terms of sequels I like better but don't get the deserved recognition.

And I wouldn't call it just "wacky", nor less dark than the first movie, not that the first didn't have any darkness... Gremlins 2 has jokes in the same way Robocop 1 does. They're sharp and pointed, and they're hilarious, and maybe it's not your kind of humor but they have a point.

I totally agree, I enjoy the wackiness of both of those sequels more than the originals. What about a Gremlins/Short Circuit crossover film? That would be wild.
