Mr Magic
It's from Will Ferrell's new movie "The House".

With the exception of the trailer, I'm not getting any kind of kickback in my online search about this movie. With a June 30th release date I would expect more buzz - and that may not bode well for "The House".

Humor is a personal thing. Stupid can be funny if presented with skill and ingenuity.

But Will Ferrell's track record is "stupid/funny = funny/stupid" - so I have a bad feeling about this movie.

Yeah... got to agree here. That emoji movie is pretty craptastic looking. The only saving grace appears to be Steven Wright playing the father, who undoubtedly has very limited screen time.

Still, I'm guessing my kids will want to see it.

Still, that movie sounds better than The House.

I just can't agree with this plot.

A dad convinces his friends to start an illegal casino in his basement after he and his wife spend their daughter's college fund.

Ironically enough, I just saw the first preview for this movie last night on Spike less then a month before release. Today, I saw it like three more times. So I guess they are just now starting to promote it.

I think Will Ferrell has reached the "Adam Sandler" stage of his career: he no longer cares about the movies he is in, he no longer cares about putting effort into a project, and he's simply just trying to exploit his status to make money for both him and his friends.

The whole thing feels very 90's comedy to me. It's just one of those 90's setups.
