Since I posted a thread about Batman Forever, I figured I might as well make one about this one, too. Do you think it's really as bad as most everyone says it is? Do you think there are any redeeming features? Personally, I thought the scenes between Bruce and Alfred were pretty good. I also liked Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy. That said, this one definitely ranks as my least favorite Batman movie. Quote |

Is it the absolutely worst film ever made? No. Is there anything redeemable about it? Not really. You can't even like it in a "So bad it's good!" sense. Everything about the film was outright horrible, every decision made should of been taken in the opposite direction.
There's a reason why it killed Batman film franchise for several years. If it had any redeeming qualities we probably would of seen another release before Batman Begins. *Insert funny signature here*

About the only thing I remember is aging Alfred nearly facing death.
"Magic can happen to you."

Probably the worst superhero film ever created. And yes, I'm including the Roger Corman Fantastic Four film from the '80s, and all the Captain America films not starring Chris Evans. You love this signature.

I never understood why Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy joined forces. They both want entirely different things- Ivy wants plants to rule the earth and Freeze wants to go back to the ice age. That's some hack writing right there.

She basically manipulated him into his plan of covering the planet in ice and killing off all of humanity so that she could start over again by populating the world with her animal-plant hybrids. It's still not the best movie writing, but I guess that explanation for the team-up is better than nothing. |

True and it has been a LONG time since I've seen the whole movie but once Batman is taken out of the equation they would basically have to fight each other right?

echidna64 wrote : Pretty much. I'm guessing Ivy's plan would have involved getting Bane to take care of Freeze when the time was right. I'm not entirely sure what Freeze planned on doing with Ivy once he got what he wanted, but I'm sure he was confident he could take her if need be. |
