It's one of the less popular Batman movies, but what are your thoughts on Batman Forever? Do you think anything about the movie compares favorably to its predecessors? How do Two-Face and the Riddler stack up against the Joker, Catwoman, and the Penguin? Where does Nicole Kidman rank among Bruce Wayne's love interests? How about Val Kilmer? Was he a worthy successor to Michael Keaton? Quote |

Riddle me this.
Riddle me that. Who's afraid of the big, black bat? "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

I like parts of Batman Forever
To this day, I still think that Batman Forever has the best origin story with a young Bruce Wayne encountering a giant bat. Nicole Kidman throws herself at Batman but I really like her exchanges with Bruce Wayne such as the Rorschach test and the discussion about people wearing masks. Jim Carey's performance is a real mixed bag. He does a good job when he is in the classic green suit but it all goes to hell pretty quickly. Lastly, the soundtrack is killer. |

The ending in forever really bothers me where Batman has to "choose" between saving either Robin or Nicole Kidman and then he just saves them both effortlessly.
This same setup was used in the Dark Knight to much greater effect, where Batman couldn't be in the same place twice and he chose to save Harvey Dent instead of Rachel Dawes. |

It's arguably not as bad as Batman and Robin turned out to be, but it wasn't very good. Looking back you can notice just how much crap that was wrong with B&R began with Forever.

Just like the Batman Forever movie, no one agreed with the game.

It had a great soundtrack.

I thought some things about the movie were pretty good and that some parts were bad. I liked the way Robin was introduced and thought that Val Kilmer was a decent Batman, but I didn't care for the villains in this movie at all.
