After "The Banana Splits" ended their network run on NBC Saturday mornings in 1970, the show quickly reappeared in syndicated form as a 30 minute show.

The result was all the musical numbers being edited out.

Never underestimate Hanna-Barbera. Throughout the 1960's H-B proved over and over that they could pull together some of the best musical talent in the business for even their least expensive projects.

From 1969, here's the song that had my sister end her phone call just so she could take in the full listening experience.  My dad put down his morning newspaper and my mom stopped working on her jigsaw puzzle.
