I hated Elvis as a kid. My mom and grandma were both huge fans and I think that is what turned me off. When I lived in Memphis, we took my grandma to Elvis week and I distinctly remember thinking “This is what Hell is like.” But a few years later, I found myself really enjoying his music and becoming a fan. I just needed time to grow out of that whole “I gotta hate everything my parents like” phase.

My favorite songs are: Suspicious Minds, Always on My Mind, and All Shook Up (thanks to Look Who’s Talking Too).
