I haven't been on a roller coaster since "The Rocket" at Ocean View Amusement Park in 1969.
Instead of gravity, Dodonpa uses compressed air to "shoot" the cars out of the launch tunnel.
Not something I would want to experience!
Some of you have a lot more experience with thrill rides than I have so I wanted a preview of summer by asking if you can tell about your favorite rides or ones you plan to ride.
My favorite roller coaster is probably The Beast at King's Island. It's an amazing, All-American classic. When it was built in the late 70's, it was the world's longest and fastest wooden roller coaster. It is still the longest coaster in America, and lasts a whopping 4 minutes with over 7,000 feet of track.
The best part of the ride is that, with age, the track has loosened up and gotten wilder. There are numerous times where you feel like you are just going to be thrown from the track! It will shake and rattle you and you'll feel like your going 100 MPH as opposed to 60. It's an unbeatable experience in my opinion.

Vaporman, this is the finest roller coaster POV video I have ever seen!
Most coasters are designed for short-duration romps but "The Beast" looks like the finest wooden coaster, Ever! It's ever beautiful to look at - thanks for lifting my spirits today.
