Hasbro is now making it's own cinematic universe, which will include GI Joe, ROM and M.A.S.K. Unfortunately, I don't think their rebooting the GI Joe movies.

Holy crap!!! That could mean we'll get a M.A.S.K. Movie!!! We've traded some crappy news in music for good news in film!

Does ROM refer to ROM the Space Knight? That would be awesome to see on the big screen!

It wouldn't be the first time that GI:Joe fought aliens, has anyone seen GI:Joe the Movie 1987?

I don't recall that show. Going to have to do some research on that one.

It wasn't a show. ROM Space Knight was a comic that was printed by Marvel in the 1980's to tie-in with a action figure Hasbro was selling at the time. While the toy itself failed to sell, the comic was a hit and ran for over 70 issues.

If you want a great overview of the series, Linkara did a two part overview on the entire run of the comic.

I bet they'll add Transformers into the mix at some point. Also, the ROM comics are making a comeback.

Wow, this is cool, just like the cartoon series, "G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero".
Thanks for posting this, I'd forgotten about the movie.

Odd, what it was supposed to show that Mask is getting its own comic series.
