I'm working on a feature about old McDonald's Styrofoam containers, and I'm having trouble identifying one of them. Does anyone remember what item used to come in the pink container? Quote Disable Sigs www.retroramblings.com

According to Allee Willis over at The Museum of Kitsch, the pink box was the old Big Mac container from the 70"s, does that sound correct to you? I'm not really sure, I avoided McDonald's like the plague during my high school years.

The only source I found was the same one that eddstarr found. All it said was that it's a Big Mac container from the 70's.
I do remember seeing pink containers in old McDonald's commercials, but that's all I know. *Insert funny signature here*

No offence to Allee but if that were my site I would ask the guy that submitted the photo to put the containers side by side, top up, to record the graphics. I'm thinking the older containers didn't use printing but were embossed with countersunk pressure lettering, that's why the pink box looks blank.

Yeah I'm not recalling any pink containers from McD's. However, that site you're all discussing with the one image clearly has the words "Big Mac" embossed on the lid, just like edd described.
You love this signature.

Back in the day I was a Burger King fan. They used to wrap the burgers in plasticized paper which became a convenient sandwich holder. Glad someone collected fast food containers. Not exactly top of the list of collectibles.

Thanks for all the help guys. Since I can't find a good picture of it by its self anyway, I'm probably just going to leave it out.
