Some ways it was good, some ways it was really bad.

Like most years it had its ups and it had its lows. Hopeful for 2016, but I imagine it too will have its highs and lows.

Yeah. There were highs and lows, as was mentioned. This latest low may have tipped it into the minus column a bit for me though. Still, a decent year overall. As always, I appreciate everyone here and their efforts to make the site a better place. I hope it remains a place that all feel welcome and at home in 2016 as well.

It was a good year mostly. It was way better than 2014 was.

After 10 years of traveling, I gave up life on the road to be home with the kids more than 2 days every other week. My marriage and home life are so much better for it. I have more time in my wood shop too, and that has been an amazing plus. I got a great job locally with a stable company, and I enjoy being home everyday. You would not know how good the quality of my life is right now. So yes, 2015 was incredibly good for me, and I look forward to what 2016 brings as well.

Great to hear pikachulover and Mickey.
I actually realized that 2015 ended up way on the plus side because my 4th child was born in May. That put it over top for sure. You love this signature.

For those of you that know me from Retro Junk I'm sure you all realized that money has always been problematic for me. The truth is I've been poor most of my life.
But through my posts you guys also know that being poor does not mean being pitiful. 2015 has seen the most dramatic change in my life. In the spring of 2015 I was offered, and I accepted, a position as an accountant with the State of Washington Department of Education. I work out of the northern regional office so my commutes to work are reasonable. Let's just say the money is really, really good. Hence - I'm back online again since 2010! |

My 2015 was better than 2014. That's not to say it didn't have some really low times, but I definitely feel like things are working towards the better. I've learned to stop hoping for huge drastic improvements, and instead just focus on smaller ones. I hope this year is better, even if its just a little bit better than 2015.

Vaporman87 wrote : Thank you Ghost dude, I missed so much over the last couple of years. It means a lot to me to be able to chat with you guys. V-man and blue dude and Ben, it's good to hear from my friends again. It wasn't enough to have a computer, I still have my monster desktop from 2007, but I never anticipated the problems I had with my new computer. I wish you guys could've been by my side as my Windows 8.1 system went on an autopilot search-fest with me staring in amazement as windows would open and close all by themselves. Each time I tried to post here I would end up on a new website - some "place" else, some"when" else. Just like Doctor Who, it was very entertaining, but completely frustrating. Now it's 2016. Time for me to be more useful and supportive. Everyone at Retro-Daze has the business of life to deal with and I'm glad to hear other members are stepping up to meet life's challenges head-on. I would like to pass along any news about the world of education in Washington State that I think you guys might find interesting. Happy New Year Everyone!!!! |
