My favorite store put it right next to the eggnog so I thought, "why not?".
Anyway, fairlife is "engineered milk" so it costs almost double that of regular milk.
Taste just like regular milk so I can't see why this is a good idea - we'll see.

Has anyone tried fairlife yet? My favorite store put it right next to the eggnog so I thought, "why not?". Anyway, fairlife is "engineered milk" so it costs almost double that of regular milk. Taste just like regular milk so I can't see why this is a good idea - we'll see. Quote |

Hmm, is it not pasteurized then?

Actually it's Ultra-pasteurized, so the milk is heated to 280 degrees for 2 seconds then fast chilled. I know that UP milk lasts longer in my fridge after its opened but the real difference is in distribution and what happens at the store where you buy it.
The shelf life for fairlife can be as long as 21 days, so I expect to be seeing fairlife at major convenience stores since these are the outlets that seem to have issues with freshness. |

We've had fairlife here for about a year. It's good, but does leave an after taste (at least the chocolate does).

While I'm a regular milk drinker I still don't see this as a product that's going to pay-off big time.

I prefer locally made milk. Snowville Creamery (located just a few miles away from me) makes some dandy milk. Grass grazed cows, no steroids or antibiotics used, minimally processed. You have to shake it up because it's not homogenized either. Good stuff.

Well, my first bottle of fairlife is about half gone.
Dare I say it - the stuff tastes good, really good. Uhhh, added flavoring maybe? I'm too scared to look at the label, lol. |
