What were some things that scared you as a kid? And what scares you now?

You could say they're Halloween-related questions.

Note: Don't say nothing scares you or didn't scare you. I refuse to believe that crap lol.

As a kid it was Statler and Waldorf, but I've already gone over that one in depth in one of my previous articles. More than my irrational fear of geriatric puppets would have to have been my fear of needles. I've thankfully gotten over both. As an adult I fear so many things, but the main one would have to be dying.

Earthquakes I've been afraid of them since I was 3. Public speaking, but not as much as I used to be.

I love the movie Jaws but it has given me a fear of sharks and the ocean in general. Water sports like surfing are okay but I would be terrified to go deep sea diving.

Also, shark nightmares are the worst- kicking aimlessly as the underwater beast comes up and takes a bite out of you.

As a kid, lots of things scared me. I was a bit paranoid, especially after my parents divorce and my dad not being in that big house with us. I would fear that we were being followed by cars behind us, that relatives who we didn't get along with us would try to murder us, that there were creatures living in the attic and the only entrance/exit was in my closet (that part is true), and I was very afraid of ventriloquist dummies.

Nowadays, I fear things like losing a child to kidnapping or death, and I fear dying (but more for the pain and hurt it would cause my family - not so much because of me).

Like most kids, I was afraid of shots. I was also afraid of the first Friday the 13th movie. It made me avoid any of the movies for a long period of time.

Shots, heights, clowns, the dark to name all the major ones. Now and days the only things that scare me are more philosophically aspects, like failing to make something of myself.
