I remember what a big deal it was on TV when that The Stand miniseries hit. Everyone was glued to their sets. I don't think I watched all of it though. I wonder if the movies are still a go?

To be honest, I haven't seen The Stand myself. Not the original anyway. I kinda wish I had.

I was in my last year of college, and I can recall all of my roommates plus friends huddled around a small TV set watching it each night it aired. School work was pushed aside for "the show".

The Stand was pretty epic, I can still hear the "Don't Fear the Reaper" opening intro.
