There was a time when I liked watching Gumby. Some channel played it and Paddington Bear back-to-back, and I'd watch both. I can't remember what channel though.

Add this to my Christmas wish list...if I can wait that long.

I used to LOVE Gumby.  I remember it feeling very strange and bizarre to me.  It was like entering a different world, somehow a completely different experience than watching cartoons...hard to explain.  I may have to write an article about this some day.  

Hmmm, I'm wondering now though if I ever watched the 50's version, or only the 80's one.  

Whilst both series are surreal, the 50's version is even more so. I think that is what endears me to it the most. 

Claymation is surreal, period.

The beautiful thing about this collection is that it's available for a cheap price.

nickelodeon aired it for a while, i never got into it though.
