It's that time of year again. No... I'm not talking about Halloween. But this fits right in with the theme of Halloween. I'm talking about the Mothman Festival.
Every year for 14 years, the folks of the area gather to celebrate the most famous humanoid moth to ever not really walk the earth but still manage to get people to believe he exists.
I've never been to one, but I was considering it this year, just for laughs and to see what all the hubbub is about. I wonder if Richard Gere will be there? Yeah. Sure.

Two volunteer firemen who sighted it said it was a "large bird with red eyes". Mason County Sheriff George Johnson commented that he believed the sightings were due to an unusually large heron he termed a "shitepoke".
