You don't really have to be a sports fan like me to know how good an athletic film is. Just enjoy it for what it is, regardless of what sport the film covers.

Got any sports films you love?

Funny fact about Rocky 5: I used the title song to make a "rap", changing the lyrics from "Go for it!" to "Snow Flurries!"

Yes, I was indeed a pathetic rap dork in those days.

I'm still a huge fan of Major League. That movie cracked me up as a kid, even more so as an adult.

Which reminds me of the time long, long ago when I watched a Major League on TBS and they had edited it because of the language, but the dubbing on those parts was just awful. It was hilarious. I wish I had that on VHS.

Someone must still have the edited version on VHS. It is now my mission to find it. Speaking of which, didn't Walmart edit their dvds to make them family friendly or was that just another urban myth?

I can't remember. Seems like they did that with their CD's in some cases, at least that seems like something that happened. Can't be sure though.

The Sandlot, North Dallas Forty, and of course, the Rocky franchise.
