I hated to see this tonight. Wes Craven has passed away, he was battling brain cancer.

He directed so many films that I adore. He will be missed.

He was a one of a kind horror filmmaker.

RIP, Wes.

Ahhh man... this sucks. I didn't know he was in poor health. I hate this so much. We sure have lost some true legends in lots of different forms of entertainment this year.

You love this signature.

That's too bad, but he left a nice legacy. The first Nightmare On Elm Street and New Nightmare are fun films.

Very sad news. I was just watching the original NOES on Netflix the other day, too.

Freddy Krueger has been a part of my life ever since I can remember.

Growing up, I had a poster of Freddy Krueger on my closet door. My parents eventually made me put it on the inside of the door because my sister was scared of it. I was so mad!

I even used to hide under beds with my Freddy glove on and scare people when they came into the room.

My son was Freddy Krueger for Halloween a few years ago, and I just bought my nephew a Freddy glove at a flea market a few months ago.

It's ironic. Syfy showed The New Nightmare a couple of times last week, but yesterday, we learned of Wes Craven's death.

Nightmare was my induction into horror and the first R rated movie my father took me to see as a child. Wes helped shaped my childhood, and he will be greatly missed.

Nightmare on Elm was one of the movies that got me into horror.  He was such a brilliant horror director!  RIP

I still haven't seen The Hills Have Eyes yet. I saw the remake, but not the original.
