Everything I see and hear about this new film just adds to my desire to completely avoid it, including this recent image of the new crew:



Call me sexist... but this group interests me about as much as sticking proton packs on four rocks and calling them Ghostbusters.

i'll just wait and see the reviews when it's out in theaters. some ghostbusters fans aren't liking it, and others are giving it a chance. dan akyroyd will be co-writer, so it shouldn't be too bad, right?

When you look at the stripes on their uniforms, you would think they're tied up.

Every time I hear information or see pictures, it sounds like its either a parody or a fan film. I want to like this movie. Ghostbusters were my first love, but man does this seem like a bad idea. I don't mind the female team, I just wish it was different females and a different director.

I'll probably give it a watch at some point just to see how they go with it.  No matter how hard they try though, I don't think any new version will subplant the original in our hearts.

No matter how many times I look at the pic, it just doesn't feel like Ghostbusters.

But it's only a pic. Let's see how the trailer turns out.

I've been wrong about things before. Therefore I'm reserving total judgement until I see what some critics I trust have to say on the matter.

I DO like the look of the new "Ecto-1." It appears to be a mid-80's car. Just as for the original it was a Mid-50's car (so we have the "thirty years before" going on.)

I DON'T like that, by rebooting it, we won't get a chance to see Louis (Rick Moranis,) Janine (Annie Potts,) or Dana (Sigourney Weaver), not to mention the four Ghostbuster's themselves(Harold Ramis RIP.)  

They may have been supporting roles to the Ghostbusters but I loved them. Plus I haven't seen Annie Potts or Rick Moranis in much lately.    

Considering the gender controversy surrounding this movie, I find it odd they went with uniforms that draw your attention to their boobs.

I just hope it's a sequel. It should augment the story, not replace it. The original team retired one by one, and these ladies were hired as time went on.

Man. Back in the 80s we made fun of sequels because there were too many of them and they were cheap cash-ins. Remakes are making me bite my tongue.

You and me both. The whole remake/rebirth craze is out of control. At least with a sequel, they tried expanding on the original, not replace it completely or attempt to revise the history established by the original.
