Microsoft is done with Internet Explorer. It looks like they are moving on to some new browser project. The problem for me is that what good will a new browser do if you don't learn from the mistakes of the previous one? This site has had oodles of problems with compatibility with IE. Yet Chrome and Firefox have had next to none. I think Microsoft just needs to get out of the browser business altogether.

I stopped using IE anyways.

Me too, and I don't see myself using this new browser of theirs either. Not unless they manage to make something better than Firefox... and I just don't see that happening.

IE 10 and 11 are pretty good btw .. I think the reason Microsoft is replacing IE with Spartan is the bad reputation IE earned during the past few years,  no matted what upgrades they could possibly make for IE it will always be mocked up and no one will use it unless they're using it to download Firefox or Chrome

My issue with IE was that you might have a page formatted to look just the way you like it, and then you check it out in Firefox... looks fine, check it out in Google... looks fine, but in IE something was always messed up or out of place. That was irritating. Also, the Theater never worked right with IE.

Was anyone annoyed by this pop-up?

Not that I'm aware of. What causes it?

Nothing really. It's just always popping up. And there's not a "no" option.

It is sad to see it go (after all, that was the first browser I have ever used) but let's face it, it was a complete disaster.

Yeah. I used it for many, many years. But it's like they just stopped trying after a while.
