Along with Wrestlemania comes another professional wrestling tradition known as Royal Rumble.

30 wrestlers compete and try to get their opponents over the top rope, thus eliminating them.

The last man remaining will get a shot at the World Title. It's a prize worth fighting for, if you're a wrestler.

You have to love the Royal Rumble, if for no other reason than to giggle at how suddenly difficult it is for people to go over the top rope.

The only time the WWF Title was ever defended in a Royal Rumble match was in 1992.

Do you know won it that year?

He's from Charlotte, NC and he always says "Woo!"

I never knew you cared that much about wrestling, Vapor.

That's what I like about the rumble. It makes it different. It's one of the big 4 PPVs along with Survivor Series, Wrestlemania and Summerslam.

I was a huge wrestling fan... years ago. Once the Attitude Era began, I lost interest. I would watch a PPV once in a while, or catch a show during the week at different times. But it just wasn't the same to me.

I've ranted about how ridiculous the programming became with the passage of time. Climaxing with the birth of a "hand" to Mae Young and Mark Henry. I'm sorry but... that was it for me.

@pikachulover:

Yeah, but when you think about it, those events don't get as much as they used to. I mean, where's the build-up?

@Vaporman87:

I guess Stone Cold Steve Austin's swearing and middle finger gestures drove you away too, huh?

I could deal with that. In some odd way, I kind of liked Steve Austin. But his schtick wore thin fast. Same with The Rock. I was still an Undertaker fan at that point, as I had been for many years.

Undertaker has it all in WWE. Just about. He's never won a Royal Rumble!
