A lot of people actually. The MLB player Dan Haren and I were born in the same city.

Ray Charles was born in the same town I'm from: Albany, GA.

When you live in the middle of nowhere, you're not likely to have any famous people grow up there. HOWEVER, in our case, this isn't exactly true. Brewster Higley, author of the famous old song "Home on the Range", was born in our town. In fact, his Grandfather was the founder of our town.

I grew up in New Jersey, the list is huge. It includes Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Willis, Jason Alexander, Danny Devito, Frank Sinatra, and of course, Bruce Springsteen. As for my hometown of Morristown, I am happy to learn that Joe Dante was born there. So were Peter Dinklage and the producer of Spongebob Squarepants.

Cool. Joe Dante... one of the great 80's directors (still good today, but he had some great 80's movies).

Burt Reynolds. It's hard to believe he's 78 now.

I grew up in Alabama, but I'm in Georgia now. I'll name names from both states, I guess: ALABAMA: - The greatest songwriter of all time, Mr. Hank Williams Sr. - The country group Alabama (obviously). Most of them grew up around the same area I did and still live in that area. My family knows all of them very well. - The greatest athlete to ever walk the planet, Mr. Bo Jackson. GEORGIA: - Arn Anderson (Pro wrestler). His hometown (Rome, GA) is about an hour from where I grew up. - Hulk Hogan |
