"Magic can happen to you."

Love it! Yeah, the place I go plays all the old intermission reels and lots of classic trailers in between movies. They plays TONS of 80s horror movies, which are usually the nights I go.

I think Drive ins are gonna make a comeback from this. As for memories, oh plenty growing up. May save them for a future article though. |
Right on, I was doing the same (saving most for an article). Though mine will be more about the current drive-in I go to. Yeah, they started up a few years ago and have gotten more and more popular, to the point where now their more popular weekend events sell out. www.AnthonyJRapino.com

I miss the drive-in experience... especially now when it could really be a great way to get out with the family and enjoy some classic flicks. Unfortunately all the ones local to me are now gone. It's sad, really. You love this signature.

I went to the drive in several times as a kid. When I was in 7th grade we moved to a townhouse next to one. My brother and I would climb up on the roof and bungee cord our sleeping bags to the roof vent pipes. We would bring our am radio and select which ever movie that was in view that we wanted to watch. They had six screens and we could see 4 of them from our vantage point. If you fell asleep you would wake up dangling on stretched out bungees precariously close to the rain gutter and a 14 foot drop. |

Vaporman, sorry to hear it. Yeah, I feel very lucky to have one nearby. I guess if I had people to go with that wouldn't require masks to interact, I'd probably still be going too. www.AnthonyJRapino.com

It used to be in my neghborhood, but I moved from there 12 years ago. It's still not that far to drive to. The drive in locally got turned into a college campus and another one in the area got turned into expesive condos. |
