I think a few different things hurt the film:</div><div><br></div><div>- Not good when ancillary characters are more interesting than your lead (Carol is pretty bland and mostly just a sarcastic amnesiac)</div><div><br></div><div>- There's not really a good enemy to face in the film. There are only a couple enemies that might be considered "main" baddies, and CM overpowers them by a lot. It's like having Red Skull be the main enemy of a Hulk movie. <br></div><div><br></div><div>- Too many instances of characters having huge revelations make nearly no difference to their worldview. Very witty and engaging. I do wish we would have saw some other Spidey's like the 2099 Version.
