It wasn't just retreading the same things from the first film like The Lost World did. It was a lot more thrilling and action packed compared to the second one, and the characters weren't as annoying or dumb as the characters from the second one.</p> <p>It was also just more... self-aware than the second one. 3 understood in the grand scheme of things that it wasn't this huge and revolutionary film like the first one was.
