44818	The End of the 2010's	<p>the end of the 2000s and start of the 2010s was my time spent with my older brother, who lived far off into the state of north dakota. i haven't spent time with him in person since 2000 started and it was great spending the time i had with him again, but as i got to the mid 2010s i got a case of homesickness after visiting the family during a christmas visit. now, it seems like i'll be looking after my mom after she fractured her shoulder from a falling accident. so much has happened, and i'm sure that now that i've reconnected with the family that there's more to look forward to.</p> <p>well if there's one thing i'm not looking forward to next decade it's more unnecessary updates on youtube, like the one we're getting tomorrow, ugh....</p>	Benjanime	Dec 31, 2019
44817	The 1990's Madeline Cartoon that has officially become an unsung gem of a series (by default and default only)	<p> </p> <p>@Benjanime - There's a reason for that. In the early 90's, a few years after Andy Heyward did a leverage buyout of Dic Entertainment from Jean Chalopin, the company now under Heyward's control struggled financially. He tried selling his company in hopes of getting it a more stable future. He went through Polygram Entertainment but that deal fell through quickly when they reviewed Andy's notorious track record when it came to taking risks. Eventually, he would find a potential buyer in Capitol Cities Group whom was the parent company of ABC and its subsidiary ESPN. Seeing how much of a money maker ESPN was, The Walt Disney Corporation bought out CCG and its subsidiaries in early 1996. This involved Dic. By this time, Madeline had long since moved to ABC. Immediately wanting nothing to do with Dic, they madr the best of the situation by moving Madeline to the Disney Channel and replacing the voice cast minus Christopher Plummer as the Narrator to Playhouse Disney. In 2000, Andy Heyward along with backing from Bain and Chase Capital Partners bought Dic from Disney Corporation whom had desperately tried to get rid of Dic since day one. Despite this, Disney would own most of their library at that point for another year until 2006 when Andy bought it back completely including Madeline. In 2002, Disney pulled the plug on it to make way for other pre school stuff.
