| 45919 | Smells Like Nirvana |
I respectfully have to disagree about The Weird Al Show. I think the show's biggest failure was having "Weird" Al, one of the nicest and most supportive people in show business, playing such an incorrigible, childish jerk. I was turned off by the first episode, and I wish Al had played a character truer to himself.

eddstarr wrote :
Nothing shocked me more than CBS cancelling the Saturday morning "Weird Al Show" in 1997, after only 13 episodes. I actually liked Al's comedy better than Pee Wee's Playhouse, but the audience just wasn't there.

-end quote

| Caps 2.0 | Aug 14, 2020 | ![]() |
| 45918 | Animaniacs |

I'm torn about the Animaniacs revival, mainly because I count several of the original show's writers among my Facebook friends, and two of them, Tom Ruegger (the creator of Animaniacs) and Sherri Stoner (writer and voice of Slappy Squirrel), are former interview subjects. By all accounts, they're not involved in the revival. The writing was key to what made the show such a standout in the 90s, and I don't know if it will be as good.
| Caps 2.0 | Aug 14, 2020 | ![]() |
