| 46263 | Spooky Ghost Story Time! |
Some of this stuff is a little before my time (I was born in 1980), but my dad always made an effort to introduce me to older movies I may otherwise miss. Topper Returns is one of his favorites as well, and one I enjoyed quite a bit.

Another older one he introduced me to, which I love to watch this time of year of course, is Arsenic and Old Lace. It takes place on Halloween, though it's more comedy than horror, and the Halloween vibes are pretty low overall. Still a fun movie. I think I read somewhere that orginally Jimmy Stewert was supposed to play the part.

Speaking of Jimmy Stewart, I just rented Harvey from Netflix.
| onipar | Sep 26, 2020 | ![]() |

| 46259 | Last Thing you Bought? |
Last Saturday we had a massive temperature drop. While it has slowly climbed back up, I was not prepared last week. I spent the entire evening under the covers trying to stay warm.

I ordered some sweatshirts off Amazon to wear around the house. Later this week I might run out and grab some sweatpants along with some warm socks. I'll also look into getting an outside jacket.
| Rick Ace Rhodes | Sep 25, 2020 | ![]() |
| 46258 | Christmas Nostalgia & More! |

I try to wait till after Halloween, but this year I'm breaking the rule casuse this year has been poop and we need a little Christmas, right this very minute. :P

onipar wrote :
I don't have anything against a lot of lead time on holidays, but I do hate when one encroaches on the other. I do get that stores need time to change floor layouts and get product set up and all that, so maybe a week leeway.

As much as I love Christmas, I can't truly get into the spirit until T-day is over. | 46255 | Christmas Nostalgia & More! |
i'm actually kinda glad i don't live close to family anymore these days, i hate the whole secret santa thing because i would go in a panic on what i should get when i don't know enough of my relatives on what they like, then i feel guilty asking them for a hint. it's so dumb.
| Benjanime | Sep 25, 2020 | ![]() |
