| 3044 | What retro shows and movies would you like to own on DVD? | In the late 90s, I was very into video tapes. Yet I was aware of the quality and durability issues of VHS. I dreamed of someday owning a high-end <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-matic">U-Matic</a> VCR and archive quality tapes of The Twilight Zone and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I finally got a DVD player from an overstock place for $30 in 2002. I bought a few DVDs, but this was also the point where I was getting into real responsibilities, so I had less money to blow on movies and stuff. I did rent movies frequently. I got pretty tired of special features. On old movies it was usually just some trailers, and on new movies, it seemed like every special feature was people talking about how great and amazing it was to make this movie, how great the director and actors were to work with, how amazing blue screen fx are. For some reason, videos never had much (if any) supplemental packaging, unlike music. For movies and TV these days, I am completely over physical media.
