| 3493 | A fast food meal you didn't want. | I have told this story NUMEROUS times... When in college, we used to frequent the local Burger King A LOT. Mainly because it was the closest fast food joint. One evening, when they were offering the "Chicken Parmesan" sandwich, I asked for my chicken sandwich to have the "Chicken Parmesan" toppings, and not the regular toppings. Apparently, this was misheard by the order taker, because when we returned to the dorms, and I opened my sandwich, there were indeed the "Chicken Parmesan" toppings... on one side. | 3484 | 9-11 | I was at C.W Post Long Island University during my brief, ill-fated sojourn into college life. I was attending a film class when word spread that one of the Twin Towers had collapsed. A few minutes later, the other had come down. Classes were cancelled for the day, and I was saddened and disturbed, saddened because I was away from my friends and family, disturbed because of the attacks themselves. I later went to a hospital along with a bunch of other students to donate blood. College life wasn't for me, so I dropped out about a month later. It disappointed a lot of people, but it was difficult, and I knew that if another 9/11-style attack were to happen, I wanted to be close to my loved ones. | Caps 2.0 | Sep 11, 2013 | |
