3850Things you don't like about this era.Heck yeah. I could go on and on about the local and raw food we get. About the backwardness of FDA regulations in 2013. Etc. But I'll just say that good, unprocessed food is really important. "Once in your life you need a doctor, a lawyer, a priest, a police officer. 3849Things you don't like about this era.Remember when there used to be excitement before and during a movie being in theaters? It's not like that anymore, is it? The last time I can remember when there was so much buzz and excitement surrounding a movie was when The Hunger Games hit theaters.Mr MagicSep 30, 2013View
3848RetroDaze Halloween SpecialFinally just completed the Halloween Special. It's chock full of scenes and clips from some cool specials of the past. There's also an intro and an outro provided by those wacky plastic ninjas, Dutch and Hamato. It's gonna be a fun watch!Vaporman87Sep 30, 2013View

If we're not willing to pay the higher price for consumables, then we shouldn't be surprised when we get poisoned by that food with everything from overseas, or get sick from all the crap that's in our food. It's extremely difficult to stay away from it completely, but even a little bit is a good start. The milk we buy, for example, is from a local producer. Their cows are grass fed, with no hormones, and the milk isn't even homogenized. You need to shake it a bit before you use it, but it tastes way better and is certainly much better for you.Vaporman87Sep 30, 2013View

3844Things you don't like about this era.Things are getting "healthed up" but not for real. It's the same reason HFCS is in everything now. Sugar got the reputation as bad for you, so it got replaced with corn syrup. Low-fat, sugar-free, diet, natural flavors...means more chemicals. There is nothing awful tasting about home grown vegetables. I would like some truth in advertising. Go to the supermarket and look at the bread, the dairy section, the eggs. How many packages depict a small barn, or a meadow (perhaps with a single animal roaming free in it)? How many of those companies do you think actually have facilities that look like that? That's what I don't like. Everything is supermechanized in our large scale food industry, and other industries are trying to get there as fast as possible. It's all about maximizing profit and minimizing cost, with no regard for anything else. I don't want to pay $2 for a roll of toilet paper....hey, where did my job go?shakin steakSep 30, 2013View

This is so apparent with cereals. Nothing tastes like it used to. I mean, some cereals seem to have kept to their original formula, but so many have changed through the years.Vaporman87Sep 30, 2013View
