| 4129 | The Circus | I didn't go to the circus until I was an adult. I used to beg my parents as a kid to take me. But they never did. :( | pikachulover | Oct 09, 2013 | ![]() |

| 4125 | Things you don't like about this era. | Again, my thanks for the info. I would be most excited to actually be able to reel in some network channels for once. This whole town and surrounding area is like the Bermuda Triangle of wireless signals/transmissions of any kind. | Vaporman87 | Oct 09, 2013 | ![]() |
| 4124 | The Goldbergs | That should be funny. Looking forward to catching it on Hulu Plus. :) | Vaporman87 | Oct 09, 2013 | ![]() |
| 4123 | The Goldbergs | In tonight's episode, young Adam sees Poltergeist at the movie theater, and it scares the daylights outta him. | Mr Magic | Oct 09, 2013 | ![]() |
| 4122 | Things you don't like about this era. |
Vaporman87 wrote :Do you think I would get decent reception from Huntington WV? There are affiliates for the major networks there and Charelston.
There's a variety of factors, chief among them: Line of sight. What is between you and the source? Hills or mountains, trees, tall buildings, etc. Broadcast TV like terrestrial radio is affected by all this. The strength of their transmission and the structure, amplification, and height of your antenna (such height relates to line of sight) Again outdoor mounting is best for reception. Distance. This really only counts because of FCC regulations (which make satellite comms, air traffic, and other things, possible). I've heard it was once possible to get radio signal from Mexico all across the US...I see that Huntington and Charleston are 60 and 75 miles from Rutland, so it might be possible. I do cop to typing this on my phone as well. But I'm inside and at home alone (Mrs steak is at school) so it's not like I'm missing anything or should be out. | shakin steak | Oct 09, 2013 | ![]() |
