4585Halloween Nostalgia & More!Quite possibly the worst Halloween candy that a poor child could be handed. Strawberry flavored chalk, anyone?

Vaporman87Oct 24, 2013View

4582When do you normally put up the Christmas decorations?
shakin steak wrote :
The tree goes up and gets its decorations on Christmas Eve. Everything comes down after the Twelve Days.
-end quote
Woah. Really? It would feel like a real waste of time if I purchased our tree, trimmed it, got it in the house, got it decorated, and cleaned up the aftermath all for one night prior to Christmas. No thank you. If I'm going to have to put effort into it, I want it up until it starts to turn brown.

Vaporman87Oct 24, 2013View
4581What are your top 5 movies to watch on Thanksgiving? There's not too many stuff to watch on Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon, except college football.
Mr MagicOct 24, 2013View
4580When do you normally put up the Christmas decorations?Definitely after Thanksgiving. Definitely not until December. In fact we shouldn't even talk about Christmas in October. The stores are bad enough.

The tree goes up and gets its decorations on Christmas Eve. Everything comes down after the Twelve Days.
shakin steakOct 24, 2013View
4579When do you normally put up the Christmas decorations?Well, I would prefer to do it BEFORE Thanksgiving because then it doesn't feel so much like I JUST put them up before I have to take them down again.

But, honestly, I would say that I only actually put up SOME decorations (lights and other decor that require extensive labor on my part) before Thanksgiving, and the remainder (mostly indoor) of the decorations come out afterward.
Vaporman87Oct 24, 2013View
4578CBS re-airing I Love Lucy... in ColorI don't mind it. I'll be interested to see. I don't like when Ted Turner was colorizing everything under the sun and not very carefully. Messing up the picture, removing detail and subtlety. Hopefully this is done better.

But, I really don't understand why the xmas episode is followed with one completely unrelated to the holiday(s). What's the point, why would that episode be picked? Also, the article doesn't make clear, but it sounds like the flashbacks are just clips from previous shows and not new footage shot for the xmas episode.

OK, I think I've talked myself out of wanting to see this. I guess I'll watch anyway, if I have nothing else going on.
shakin steakOct 24, 2013View
4577What are your top 5 movies to watch on Thanksgiving? Hey now. I am in that boat too. I only ever recall watching movies on Thanksgiving that were being riffed on by Mike and The Bots. Other than that, it's the parade. I will likely pop in a video game or two to play with the kids.
Vaporman87Oct 24, 2013View
