8497Lingos and catch phrases we used back in the day.Oh dear. Don't get me started. Well... too late.

Of course I used some of the standard lingo from the 80's... rad, wicked (still use that one), gnarly, etc.

But I also had some of my own homegrown lingo, or spins on existing lingo. For example:

Emawacken: Yeah, don't ask. Essentially this was a replacement for cursing when something didn't go my way.
Josh Off: Meaning "get lost", "get outta here", etc.
Eat One: Uhg. This was alluding to the person eating a part of someone's body that will not be gone into here.
Bite One: (See above)
Cut A Let: Pass gas, in other words.
Blobulous: Alluding to someone being overweight... how kind.
Lardhorg: (See above)

*Sigh*... this brings back unpleasant memories of me being unpleasant to others.

Also, the use of "you're gay" and calling people "fags" did not bring the wrath of the PC police down on you. We used those terms so often, I hate to think how despicable people would think us today. But we used them with no consideration for their meaning.
Vaporman87May 28, 2014View

8492New Atlanta Braves and Falcons stadiums.I'd like to take the family to a baseball game, but I'm afraid of what they'd be exposed to. /:/

Now if maybe there was some type of club seating or family seating with no alcohol being served and fewer people around you, that might be okay. I can just see me, my wife, and 3 kids as a guy two rows behind me is yelling, cursing, and getting hammered.
Vaporman87May 28, 2014View
8491How was your day?@TDitH: At least you know you're GF is not after you for your money. That's a plus. ;)
Vaporman87May 28, 2014View
8490Vacation Time!!!If someone does actually end up at Disney, here are directions to the dollar.

Enter the cave exit directly behind the arrival/departure building/dock on Tom Sawyer Island. There are beams that are supposed to look as though they are stabilizing the cave interior.

The first beam on the left (going in through the exit) that is completely hidden in darkness, not exposed to any sunlight, is the hiding place. It rests in a little crevice behind that beam, at about eye level for a 5'8" guy like myself.

;)
Vaporman87May 28, 2014View
8489New Atlanta Braves and Falcons stadiums.Every time I watch the highlight reels of baseball on ESPN it seems like the stadiums are always vastly empty. A player will hit a homer and the ball will just bounce into empty bleachers. Even behind home plate is empty! I'd love to go to one of those games.

AT&T Park in SF is ALWAYS crowded though.
vkimoMay 28, 2014View
