8519How was your day?Today has been clear and good so far. And quiet here in the office, just the way I like it. ;)

Ate lunch with the wife and kids at Gino's a bit ago, before stopping at the local grocer for juice and the bank for a money order. Typical life stuff.

A more interesting thing happened the night before last. I received a strange voice mail message to my home phone from my dad in which he was rustling around, making sounds... and then I could hear him say..."Oh help me Jesus".

Now I don't know about you, but even though my dad has been known to call about "emergencies" that amounted to him not knowing how to do something on Ebay, this sent up a red flag.

After not being able to contact him via his cell phone, his home phone (which I had the operator break in to for me because I kept getting a busy signal - and she said nobody was on the line), and through my stepmother's phone... I loaded up the family and we made the 20 minute trip to his house to check on him.

My dad is paranoid and carries a gun just about everywhere with him, so I knew I had to be careful knocking on the door.

After he knew who it was, he came to the door and nothing at all was wrong. He didn't even remember why he called the house.
Vaporman87May 28, 2014View
