12184What franchise do you want to see come back to your town?Tower shut down completely. I used to live near the original store in Sacramento, shortly before all locations closed for good. There was also a Tower Theater and a Tower Cafe on the same block. The cafe was very good. They had french toast three inches thick. It was one of those places that had a line around the block for brunch on weekends. I only went to the theater once, no complaints but I don't remember it much. I'm sure it was classic style. I do know it had the movie posters outside.

I can't help but think Tower and other defunct retail companies would still be in business if they had stayed small. (See my previous post) Especially if all retailerers stayed small. Is that naive? I suppose I'm stomping on The American Dream or something shakin steakOct 08, 2014View

These were a type of keeper that was actually part of the purchase of the tape. There were no security features, other than they made the cassette a much larger item that could not be taken from the store so easily, as you mentioned.

Vaporman87Oct 08, 2014View

12179Halloween Article Contest 2014i probably haven't mentioned it before, but during my days on retrojunk i always felt that it grew tiresome as i saw people writing about movies that have been listed by every other article writer, so these days i've felt that i need to look into some of the more 'out there' movies that you'd have luck finding at a vhs rental. i say it was a preparation because earlier this year i had the help of an old friend from deviantart and retrojunk that had shown me some movies every once in a while while chatting on facebook. i've given a handful of them a watch already, but hopefully i won't spoil a lot of what's to offer in each one
BenjanimeOct 08, 2014View
