His sweet, smooth, shooting style was something I tried to emulate whenever I played basketball. I even sported the flat top for a few years in honor of him. In a sport with a very small pool of Caucasian players, he could hold his own with the best the NBA had to offer. He was a bit weak on defense, and much of his offense was generated off of picks, but I watched him take defenders one on one countless times and make them look bad, so he could do it when he needed to.
