| 47823 | The Café | <p>Hey everyone! I'm still alive, lol. It's been a hot minute since I last posted. Past year's been a wild ride. Ended up getting a job last June as a temprature screener at one of the local hospitals, but quit in November because of conflict with my boss (pretty much told me to choose between my job and my mom). A couple weeks after quitting, I got COVID. My mom was the carrier, and spread it to me and my dad. All three of us had it and it was definitely not fun. We've all recovered nicely to a point! In January of this year, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She's been undergoing chemo, and a couple weeks ago found out it's in remission, which is good. She still has to take chemo through the month of August, and then have a CT scan in September to see what's going on. I'm hoping it's more good news.</p> <p>I've been okay through it all. Fell apart a few times, I won't lie. For me, health-wise, I've got arthritis in my spine, hips, knees, and ankles, and I'm not even 32 yet. I wake up every morning in terrible pain, but I deal with it. Finally have an appoitment with an arthritis doc to try to get some relief. Also, I just started a new job last week, so I've barely got free time, lmao.</p> <p>I'm still a big part of the LazyTown fandom, still writing fanfics! But I've also ended up obsessed once more with Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, which was my fave show as a kid. I'm working on a crossover between it and LazyTown right now (also, Robbie and Carmen are my new fave couple). I've also became a bit obsessed with Rockapella as a result... but only the lineup we see on the show!</p> <p>Anyway, enough rambling from me.
