3556ArticleVaporman87I still have that Masters of the Universe sticker book. I always meant to get all the stickers so I could fill the whole thing, but never did. I wonder if I can get them anywhere now? Hmmmm. Your adventures with your GoBots camera reminds me of my early exploits with a PXL 2000 I received one year for Christmas. It used audio cassette tapes to record grainy, black and white video. But that didn't stop me from documenting all the goings on in my house.  Dec 12, 2016View
3558ArticleVaporman87Awwww... man. Talk about disappointment. I'm guessing your parents were hitting every thrift store and yard sale they could find to try and make things right, to no avail. Bummer. But hey, an SNES! LOL. I can just see you pounding away gleefully on that controller while occasionally looking over at your bro and sighing before refocusing on the 16 bit glory. 3567ArticleVaporman87@vkimo: You said it, brother. All the rigamaro involved in setting up a console these days just sucks the fun out of it.A Very Sega ChristmasDec 12, 2016View
3581ArticleVaporman87This story of your father helping others during Christmastime reminds me of the stories I've heard of my Grandfather and how he helped others without ever saying anything about it. That's what the Christmas Spirit is really all about. The giving. Especially to those who are struggling and just hoping to make it through another Christmas with food on the table. Thanks for sharing these memories Mickey. They will do us all a lot of good this Christmas.1986: The Year That Santa Became RealDec 15, 2016View
3597ArticleVaporman87Another epic NLogan Christmas article. This was a lot to digest but I managed to take it all in in one sitting. I love the detail you go into here. I really get a bit of a sense of what your time at your Grandma's was really like during Christmas and beyond. Despite all the family separation, you seem to have made the best of it and overcame the rifts to have memorable and joyous holidays. Thanks for sharing this with us my friend.NLogan's Christmas at Grandma's HouseDec 18, 2016View

3607ArticleVaporman87Thanks for this nice little review of the people and events that shaped Christmas into what it is today. I think we hear or read bits and pieces of this type of info from time to time, but rarely does any of us have the time or inclination to research the whole history. This is a nice way to discover that without having to devote a lot of time and attention to it. Great stuff. The History of ChristmasDec 20, 2016View
3608ArticleVaporman87I have a feeling most of us have stories that would fit right in with the theme of this article. For myself, the first thing that comes to mind is that every year I asked for a golf cart, and every year I was disappointed. LOL. I wanted a golf cart to drive up and down the neighborhood in. I used to think it would be so incredibly cool. The closest I ever got was a four wheeler, and that's just not the same. I also wanted the U.S.S. Flagg, and never got that either. Nor did I get the Eternia playset. So yeah, I was disappointed a few times on Christmas. And man, can I relate to your feelings about extended family gifts. They are usually such "throw away" items that there doesn't even seem to be a point in opening them. Christmas 64Dec 20, 2016View
3609ArticleVaporman87This was a very touching story. I'm glad you shared it with us Supes. I'm glad you still got to build that snowman, even though it was with your mother. It still made a lasting impression on you and your Christmases from then on. The First Snowman I Ever BuiltDec 20, 2016View
3610ArticleVaporman87It's weird to see Howey Mandel as that character, but that casting actually makes sense to me. He is good at that sort of manic, off beat weirdo. It's kind of neat that you have made a tradition out of your favorite show. Christmas with SupermanDec 20, 2016View
