5269 | Article | Julie | As we talked about before, I am and will always be against punishment. Punishment, beating, none of this educates!! On the contrary, it teaches that parents do not love their children!! There are many humanized ways to educate a child, with love as the first and fundamental rule. This is so obvious. I'm not surprised to see children becoming adults and abandoning their parents; this is justified, and it's very sad to see this vicious loop in societies around the world. Too much lack of love results in too much wrong things and it becomes a vicious loop. Children need love from their parents, and this also implies the physical presence of that love from parents to children. | Sep 05, 2020
4148 | Article | Hoju Koolander | As you know, we were watching the same stations growing up and I only caught The Weird Al Show 2-3 times in it's original run, even though I was a big fan with all of his albums (except Polka Party). Luckily I rented the DVD set from Netflix a few years ago and got to watch the whole series. It was super quirky and fun, like the Nickelodeon version of his movie UHF. | The Weird Al Show a Way Moby Forgotten Show | Sep 24, 2017
4082 | Article | NLogan | Aside from the action figure line I don't remember seeing any of the Shadow merchandising. However as you know I also listened to the cassette tapes of the old radio broadcasts. "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? 1380 | Article | NLogan | At my house there are usually a few trick-or-treaters that show up before we go out ourselves. We put up a graveyard in the front yard with a color wheel light bathing the house in yellow, green, blue, and red in a slow sequence. Unless someone stays at the house to pass out candy like a grandparent, we usually turn out all the lights because we are out trick-or-treating ourselves. | Flannel Cornucopia | Oct 05, 2014
3220 | Article | Hoju Koolander | At my work Gift Exchange the only thing offered seems to be various bottles of booze, so I really miss the days when an action figure or Ace of Base CD could be up for grabs. This was a very fun story and the fact that you made your own Sailor Moon costumes is awesome. I used to do the same thing for my Spider-Man toys, building him armor and doing re-paints. | A Mature Gift Exchange | Dec 14, 2015
2645 | Article | kidcoffee | At night a child's imagination can become a very dark place where even innocent muppets can become monsters hell bent on our gruesome demise...or at least this is what I keep telling myself. To this day I don't understand quite why my brain latched onto Waldorf and Statler in particular as opposed to Alf, Bert and Ernie,or any number of other much more horrifying creatures, but it did. Throw in a bit of the old ultra violence and my fate was sealed. I would say I am ashamed, but seeing as I did just out myself in an article I know that won't fly. | Muppet Mayhem | Sep 14, 2015
4853 | Article | Vaporman87 | At this point in your school age years is seems like things are maybe improving some? Like you're not getting harassed quite as much. I know that feeling you describe when you discuss your internet usage. It was the same for me. I remember the first few months that we actually got the internet "proper", using AOL. I was in chat rooms all the time. Mostly looking for girls to talk to. I think the first bill for that was $600!!! That was when AOL did not yet have a monthly fee for unlimited usage. | Being An 80's and 90's Fat Kid: Part 4 | Feb 15, 2019

2259 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Aw, you spoil all the fun by being civil ;) But it's true, naming the greats is totally subjective. Ninja Gaiden might he the greatest game ever, but if my brother flicked my ear every time I tried to play it, I would likely have bad memories of it and keep it off the list. | NES: The 5 Best Games | May 12, 2015 |
