| Video | Vaporman87 | Oh yes! Thank you Caps. I remember this ad. I recall thinking it would be so cool to go down a waterslide made of oranges or strawberries! | Aug 26, 2015
| Article | Vaporman87 | I have extremely fond memories of being in our local skating rink. I've mentioned this in the forum and on one of massreality's articles; that I grew up in a small addition of homes and at the bottom of the hill sat our skating rink. So I walked up and down our hill almost every weekend to hang out at the rink. I still know who were expert skaters, I still hear the music playing and the sound of the arcade games (Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man being the most played ones). I can smell the hotdogs and old, worn carpeting on the benches. I can easily remember the tiny bathroom, and games we'd play (corner skate, limbo, the hokey pokey, etc.). I miss it a great deal. | Roller Rinks! 80's Style! | Aug 27, 2015
| Article | Vaporman87 | I have to say, I wish I could have been more exposed to the great pop cultural icons of Japan in my youth. Even so, their biggest icon of all has always had a special place in my heart. Of course I'm talking about General Tsao's chicken. No, really... Godzilla. I was thoroughly entranced by anything Godzilla related as a kid. I LOVED the movies, even though they were incredibly cheesy. Any time I caught one of the films on television (usually after I was supposed to be asleep or on Saturday afternoons), I left the channel changer alone and stuck around 'til the end. It's common knowledge here that I still have a fascination with Godzilla. I owe Japan a debt of gratitude for his presence alone. | Japanimaniacs: Video Games, Toys and Snacks | Aug 28, 2015
| Video | Vaporman87 | I like Burgess Meredith's playful voice-over in this one. | Don't Forget The Cheese: Peas | Aug 31, 2015
| Article | Vaporman87 | While I don't share your fondness for this movie, I do agree with some of your points. Jon Voight did an amazing job being a despicable person who ends up crushed in this movie, and you're SOOOO glad to see it happen by the end. And James Van Der Beek's career kind of went nowhere after this. I think, as you mention, his performance is so bad that it ended up becoming an internet meme. And that pretty much spells death if you're in the movies - see Shia Labeouf. | Varsity Blues - The 90's Attempt at Friday Night Lights | Aug 31, 2015
| Article | Vaporman87 | I remember this, though not nearly as well as Domino's "Noid" campaign. Even so, it was very clever and a nice alternative to Domino's anti-pitchman. | The Pizza Head Show | Aug 31, 2015
| Article | Vaporman87 | Ha! I love the trailer for this one. It's so bad, it HAS to be good. It looks as though it was filmed in somebody's house with a home video camera. LOVE that about it. What really made me laugh though, was the scene with the feet walking down a flight of stairs. That EXACT SAME scene was filmed for one of our home movies back in the day. Same angle and everything. That's hilarious. | Heavy Metal-Sploitation Part 2 | Aug 31, 2015
| Video | Vaporman87 | I love that a movie called Slaughterhouse Rock proudly proclaims it contains music by Devo. LOL. Shouldn't the title then be Slaughterhouse Techno/New Wave? | Slaughterhouse Rock (1988) Trailer | Sep 02, 2015
| Video | Vaporman87 | LOL. Gotta love the tagline, "The good guys always win... even in the 80's." | MegaForce (1982) Trailer | Sep 02, 2015
| Video | Vaporman87 | Hilarious that the narrator continually calls Sonic The Hedgehog, "Super Sonic The Hedgehog". | Part of 1992 Montgomery Ward in-store Laserdisc | Sep 02, 2015 |
